New project · Laranjeira
The existing poolside area was prepared and upgraded with a warm aggregate finish that sits naturally beside the terracotta architecture, blue water and Algarve landscape.
Why resin bound
A successful surface balances appearance with drainage, exposure, access and the condition of the existing base.
An open-textured system can allow water to pass through when paired with a permeable base. Where the base is impermeable, drainage is designed around the site.
Aggregate size, finish and anti-slip specification can be selected for pool surrounds and other areas that are regularly wet.
Curves, borders and colour blends can connect the surface to stone, render, planting and the wider property.
UV-stable resin options and suitable aggregates help manage strong Algarve sun, while routine care supports long-term appearance.
Every project is surveyed. Final performance is determined by the complete build-up—not the visible top layer alone.
Material palette
Aggregate colour, scale and contrast should work with the render, stone, planting and light—not fight them.
A warm, varied mix for natural landscapes and terracotta architecture.
A pale blend that keeps terraces visually calm and bright.
A deeper, contemporary finish for entrances and strong detailing.
A crisp black-and-white blend for modern villas and commercial spaces.
Screen colours vary. Final colour and aggregate choices should be confirmed against the property, surrounding materials and available light.
How it works
The funnel gathers the information needed for a useful first response, then the site survey resolves the technical detail.
Start your projectWhatsApp a few clear photos, approximate dimensions and the project postcode or town.
We inspect levels, drainage, access and the condition of the existing base.
You receive a recommended build-up, finish direction, scope and anticipated schedule.
Preparation, installation and practical aftercare guidance are completed as one managed process.
For hospitality & managed property
For hotels, resorts, restaurants, apartment communities and property portfolios, we scope access, phasing and finish selection early—so the surface works visually and operationally.
Questions clients ask first
These answers explain the principles. The final recommendation always depends on the existing base, drainage, use and finish selected.
Ask about your projectWashed, dried aggregate is mixed throughout with a clear resin, then hand-trowelled into a smooth, seamless finish. It is different from resin-bonded surfacing, where loose stone is scattered onto a resin layer.
It can be an excellent poolside option when the substrate is stable, drainage is resolved and a suitable wet-area texture is specified. Slip performance depends on the complete specification and ongoing cleaning.
Sometimes. The existing surface must be sound, stable and correctly detailed. A survey confirms whether it can be retained and prepared, needs local repair, or should be removed.
Timing depends on area, access, preparation, weather and curing conditions. The quote sets out the anticipated sequence and schedule after the site survey.
UV-stable aliphatic resin and suitable aggregates can significantly reduce colour change. Natural aggregate variation and weathering still occur, so resin and colour selection matter.
No. The top layer can be porous, but the whole construction is only permeable when the base beneath it also allows water through. On impermeable bases, drainage must be designed separately.
Routine sweeping, gentle washing, prompt removal of contamination and occasional deeper cleaning are normally recommended. Avoid aggressive pressure or chemicals unless approved for the installed system.
Yes. Commercial projects can be planned around guest access, delivery routes, phased working and handover requirements, with the final scope agreed after survey.
